Anne O'Sullivan celebrates over 50 years as a professional working actor with performances in over 130 productions.

She has performed in Becoming Dr. Ruth at Tony Winning Award winning theatre's across the US. Her performance is highly acclaimed by The New York Times, and Dr. Ruth herself.

She has performed on Broadway in Blithe Spirit(with Richard Chamberlain and Geraldine Page), Off-Broadway she was seen in Kid Champion and Marisol at the Public Theatre. She has performed across the US at such highly acclaimed theaters as: The McCarter Theatre, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Berkshire Theatre Festival, The Old Globe, Bay St. Theatre, Yale Rep, Hartford Stage, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and Actors Theatre of Louisville among others. 

Films Include: The Home, Speed, The Mirror Has Two Faces, Wendell and the Lemonand 1937, a two-character film directed by Giacomo Gatti and Francesco Carrozzini in which she co-starred with Olek Krupa.

On TV: guest roles on Law & Order (all three incarnations), Sex and The City, The Flight Attendant, Third Watch, ER, and was features as “Vicki” on Models, Inc.. Most recently, she appeared on Show Me a Hero and Red Oaks

STEPHEN NACHAMIE (Director)

Stephen has had the pleasure of Directing Anne O’Sullivan in Becoming Dr. Ruth  across the US to great acclaim. Dr. Ruth was a good friend and collaborator on this piece – and it is honor to bring her groundbreaking story to the UK. 

On Broadway, he was the Associate Director for the Roundabout Theatre Revival of She Loves Me starring Laura Benanti and Jane Krakowski (now on BroadwayHD).  Off-Broadway, he Directed the New York Premiere of Ken Ludwig’s Dear Jack, Dear Louise at 59e59, Who is Jimmy Pants? at the York Theatre the Little Shop of Horrors Original Off-Broadway Reunion Concert (with Alan Menken) and the 25th Anniversary Revival of Torch Song Trilogy.

Stephen’s work has been seen at prominent Regional Theatres and Opera Companies across the US including: Cincinnati Playhouse, New Rep (Boston), Goodspeed Opera House (CT), Capital Rep (NY), Shadowland Stages and Penguin Rep (NY), Opera Saratoga and at Carnegie Hall.  He has staged many US tours as well as an Italian Tour of West Side Story. His production  A Chorus Line at the Olney Theatre (MD/DC) won the Best Musical Helen Hayes Award . He has directed concerts for Country Music stars Kellie Pickler and Mickey Guyton at the Nashville Symphony.

Stephen was the stage director / writer and facilitator of Witness Project  (UJA), which brings Holocaust Survivors and High School students together to keep these first-person accounts of the atrocities of World War II alive for future generations to learn from. We must never forget

Born and raised in NYC, he began his career while in High School as a PA for the final year of the Original Off-Broadway Production of Little Shop of Horrors.  

He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from NYU and has been on the faculties of NY Film Academy and Marymount Manhattan College.  Proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society

MARK ST. GERMAIN (Playwright)

Mark has written the play FREUD’S LAST SESSION (Off Broadway Alliance Award), which he adapted into the film starring Anthony Hopkins. Other plays include THE GOD COMMITTEE, also made into a film, CAMPING WITH HENRY AND TOM (Outer Critics Circle Award and Lucille Lortel Award) FORGIVING TYPHOID MARY, (Time Magazine’s “Year’s Ten Best”) BECOMING DR. RUTH,  the story of Dr. Ruth Westheimer, ELEANOR, BEST OF ENEMIES, EARS ON A BEATLE, SCOTT AND HEM, RELATIVITY and OUT OF GAS ON LOVER’S LEAP. With Randy Courts, they have written the musicals GIFTS OF THE MAGI, JOHNNY PYE and JACK’S HOLIDAY.

 Mark has also written STAND BY YOUR MAN, The Tammy Wynette Musical, for the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. With John Markus he wrote THE FABULOUS LIPITONES.

Mark co-wrote the screenplay for Carroll Ballard’s Warner Brothers film, DUMA. He directed and co-produced the documentary, MY DOG, An Unconditional Love Story, featuring Richard Gere, Glenn Close and Billy Collins among others. Television credits include THE COSBY SHOW and Dick Wolf’s CRIME AND PUNISHMENT. He wrote the award winning children’s book THREE CUPS.

Mark is a member of the Dramatists Guild and the Writer’s Guild East. He is a board member of the Great Barrington Public Theater. . In 2010, Barrington Stage named their second stage  “The St. Germain Stage.”
